Jake Orr is a Topsail Beach, NC born and bred native. An artist at heart, Jake's unique upbringing on the Carolina coast has led to a life of many interests. His passion for wild places began at a young age in his backyard playground...the Atlantic Ocean. Stemming from his exposure to a variety of outdoor recreation and travel, Jake developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and education provided through a life lived outdoors. Through photography, Jake strives to capture unique angles on oft-done subjects, as well as new and rarely seen photos of the places he visits near and far. Favorite subjects include birds, seascapes, pelagic species, and wild landscapes. Photography is a way for Jake to share his passion for the beach, nature, and his craft with others. Jake is also a USCG licensed Captain, operating the Laura Linn and providing guests with fishing charters through Fish Topsail, photography sessions, and custom adventures both offshore and in the backwater around Topsail. The coupling of skills opens up a whole host of opportunities for unique photo sessions for those craving a little more adventure. Jake is also a licensed CPA and performs remote tax consulting services to a variety of clients across the US during the off season, and is currently pursuing his Private Pilot License.
